Post title: TMLookup = highly recommended as a monolingual concordancer too!
I was just looking for a way to create a quick corpus of English patents, and after messing around with AntConc, tlCorpus, and a bunch of other specialised concordancers, I ended up making a much better one (for my purposes) with TMLookup (following FarkasAndras' instructions on this page). What an amazingly useful little program. The problem with my patent corpus is it is gigantic (as it contains all the English patent text I can find from various sources such as PatTR, EuroPat, etc.), and most of these concordancers slow down to a crawl as they are not indexed like TMLookup.
