Sure, yes Matecat could be an option, I had bad experiences using Smartcat for some reason.
My personal favorite (even when I didn’t do anything for Wordfast) has always been Wordfast Anywhere. For some reason, it’s the underdog, but it packs a vast amount of features:
Up to 10 TM and glossaries connected simultaneously (up to 2 of each in write mode).
MT connection and pretranslation, I managed to make Chat GPT work on it this week (preconfig coming out in the next release).
It handles pds, has a built in aligner, allows for TM/Glo sharing, file splitting, file sharing, multiple translators working on the same file at once.
Project workflow with task and file assignment.
Import export offline docx review.
User config for buttons and ribbon
3 different view layout modes.
Next release will have all new modern icons and a gorgeous dark theme.
Pricing:
Account creation is 1 USD. Then it’s pay as you go, you top up credit when you want, so subscription style (9 USD a month, discounts start on 3 months bundle). And you can still work when you credit runs out (with limitations, see limited mode here: [url removed] ).
Note: as with any Wordfast product, people living and working in countries with developing economies get an immediate 50% off on everything.
